“This was a very large space that needed to look full and abundant. It was difficult to find ready-made sofas in the size we needed, so we decided to have them custom made. With all of the sun exposure in the solarium, although UV protected, played a major factor in the fabric selection. We really wanted these sofas to last for our client, and fabric dullness over the years due to sun, was not ideal. Thus, the crisp silvery-grey, in a luscious chenille, was the final decision. There were a few antique pieces in the home, that the husband was unwilling to part with. In a compromise, we had them reupholstered, refinished or spray painted to create a harmony between the two styles of this wonderful couple. Between the art work and antique pieces, to the contemporary sofa and accessories, the results were breathtaking.”
